Officials: Completely charge car in under 8 hours
A new electric car charging station opened on the University of Cincinnati's medical campus Saturday.

The new station can charge two cars simultaneously and charge a car completely in under eight hours.
Officials said the charging station is in lot 13 near Wherry Hall.
For UC, the move is about taking steps toward the future.
"As it is now, the average person does not have an electric car, but I'm increasingly surprised at how many people are getting electric cars. It's not an outlier anymore. It's not an unusual technology," Scott Betz, with environmental studies, said.
If you have a UC parking decal, it's free to charge.
It's a 30-amp charge, which is the fastest available.
The university has plans for another charging station on campus, too.
