The University of Cincinnati Foundation Board of Trustees has elected five new trustees to its 70-member board. All five are UC alumni: William J. Davis, BBA ’91; Leigh Fox, MBA ’01; Jerry Fritz, BBA ’73; Stephen Kimpel, BBA ’90; and Andrea Zahumensky, BSIE ’00.

“I find it inspiring for myself as a UC alum and for our organization that our new trustees are all Bearcats,” said UC Foundation President Peter Landgren. “It is clear that each values the contribution that UC had in their success, and that board membership is but one way for them to give back to this great university. Their myriad of experiences will lift our mission of supporting UC and UC Health priorities through philanthropy and engagement.”

“As a proud UC alumnus, I’m excited that in my first year as UC Foundation chair, other Bearcats are joining our board,” said Troy Neat, BBA ’91. “It’s an honor to be able to give of our time, talent and treasure to the places that gave us a start on a path to excellence.”

Davis is the chief financial officer (CFO) of PayCor, Inc., an HR and payroll technology services provider. He has 20 years of experience in corporate finance leadership within technology companies. Davis has held CFO positions at Gloo Networks plc; Blackboard, Inc.; Allscripts Healthcare Solutions; and Lante Corporation. He earned his MBA at Northwestern University. Davis’ philanthropic work includes the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation Board of Directors and the UC Lindner College of Business Advisory Council.

Fox is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cincinnati Bell Inc. He was promoted from chief operating officer (COO) to CEO in May 2017. Prior to serving as Cincinnati Bell’s COO, he was its CFO. Fox earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University. An active community volunteer, Fox is on the boards of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and American Red Cross. He is also a member of the Cincinnati Business Committee and Business Leaders Alliance.

Fritz is the co-chair of Kent Precision Foods Group, which specializes in food and beverage products and ingredients. He was the organization’s president for 22 years. As a passionate UC alumnus, Friz supports the UC Lindner College of Business Kolodzik Business Scholars by serving on its advisory board and through the Fritz Family Endowed Scholarship. He is also a member of the UC Lindner College of Business Advisory Council, William Howard Taft Society and Tower of Strength Society.

Kimpel is a managing partner and founding member with Stonehenge Partners, Inc., a company that directs the investment activities for approximately $1 billion in mezzanine and equity commitments. Prior to his current role, Kimpel was a vice president in the merchant bank group of Banc One Capital Markets.  He began his career with Fifth Third Bank and Bank One corporate banking.  He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and has served on the board of several private companies.  He also served as a vice chairman of The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute Foundation Board.  Kimpel has supported UC and the Kolodzik Business Scholars through the Stephen E. Kimpel Scholarship Fund.

Zahumensky is the chief marketing officer of KFC. Previously, she was the brand director of North America Baby Care at Procter & Gamble Company (P&G). Zahumensky joined P&G in 1997 and served in a variety of brand management and marketing roles. While at UC, Zahumensky was president of the Student Alumni Council, a member of the Cincinnati Women in Excellence and Spirit Together Honorary Women’s Society, and the secretary and personnel chair of Chi Omega sorority. Zahumensky received UC’s Just Community Award in 1999 and its Jeffrey Hurwitz Young Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award in 2012.

The trustees will begin their service at the Foundation’s board meeting in October 2018.
