About

eLearning & Blackboard

The university is committed to creating an innovative, collaborative and student-centered eLearning ecosystem. At its core, it is a network of expertise, partnerships and systems that will make this ecosystem successful.

The phased upgrade to Blackboard, the university’s learning management system (LMS), represents an import step toward achieving this goal.

Blackboard Upgrade

The new Blackboard system, known as “Bb Learn,” provides a modern, user-friendly experience for instructors and students, including:

  • Improved browser support
  • Global navigation menu that is always available
  • Updated content editor with Video Everywhere capability
  • Inline assignment grading
  • Automatic Re-grade feature to identify and correct ineffective test questions
  • Resolution to many of the current course copy issues for faculty
  • Redesigned calendar with drag and drop capabilities

Bb Learn also integrates with other systems, such as the Kaltura pilot (an open source video management/repository system), to create connection and innovative opportunities for students and faculty.
