Assessment of Student Learning occurs in our courses, in our academic programs, and in our student support efforts. All academic courses and programs establish learning outcomes which are reviewed through faculty governance. All academic programs create plans to incorporate assessment of student learning into a process for continuous improvement. Assessments administered both centrally and locally produce results which are analyzed and presented to faculty leaders within each College, program, or course. After consideration of findings, our programs continue to develop their pedagogies, their requirements, and their objectives. We target our efforts based on Assessment of Student Learning.
This on-going process helps ensure that UC programs meet and exceed professional standards, continually strive for academic excellence, serve as best practices for our various accreditation requirements, and assure our students achieve their potential.
