AESS provides a variety of academic resources including FREE Peer Tutoring. Our tutoring sessions take place at our student friendly Learning Assistance Center, located on the 1st floor of University Pavilion. As professional and student staff, our goal is to assist students in achieving academic progress. To aid in this progress, we offer two options for tutoring: appointment based and online. Tutor registration is quick and easy and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! We look forward to working with you!
Tutoring Registration Tutoring Options: 1. Appointment Based tutoring connects tutees with one of our well-qualified student tutors for a private, in person and self-paced tutoring session. All AESS Peer Tutors have earned a 3.0 or better in the content in which they tutor. Tutees may schedule appointments ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the depth of material the tutee wishes to cover.
2. Online is offered through SMARTHINKING Online Tutoring, which may be a convenient alternative to the appointment based option. For additional information, including subjects in which tutoring is available, see link to the left.
We offer tutoring in a variety of historically difficult courses. Students interested in enrolling for appointment based and/or SMARTHINKING online tutoring should click our appointment scheduling website, Appointment Plus, to complete the Tutee Registration Form. After completing the form, tutees will have immediate access to appointment scheduling. Tutees interested in the SMARTHINKING option will be able to login within 24 hours of registering.
