2014 Student Employee of the Year

Established in 2007 by the staff of Campus Services and SALD, this award is presented at the annual UC Recognition Ceremony.

Taylor Howarth
CEAS Library

Taylor has worked for the University of Cincinnati CEAS Library since April 2011. At the library, she assists students with library services and collaborates with the library staff members on projects & initiatives.

Outside of the CEAS Library, Taylor is majoring in Neuroscience & Psychology, and she was a Research Assistant for studies in language cognition.

Taylor also volunteered at the Heartland Hospice adn Majorie P. Lee Retirement Community.

Olivia Porter
Campus Rec Center

Olivia has worked for the University of Cincinnati Campus Recreation Center for nearly 5 years, holding various positions such as a Lifegaurd, Water Safety Instructor, and Aquatics Supervisor. Currently, Olivia works as a Building Supervisor.

Olivia is majoring in Exerise and Movement. She is a Sister in the Kappa Delta sorority at UC and swam on the UC Club Swim Team.

Olivia is a certified Lifeguard Instructor and holds a certification in Sexual Harassment Training, First Aid, and OSHA Blood Pathogen Training.

Student Employee of the Year Award Requirements

The 2014 Student Employee of the Year Award is given to the University’s most outstanding undergraduate students, with graduation dates of December 2013, April 2014, or August 2014, who fulfills the following:

  • A cumulative university grade point average of 3.0 or better
  • Served a minimum of three semesters within the department
  • Held a leadership position in the department (student lead/supervisor)
  • A high level of responsibility
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong initiative
  • Professionalism
