Choosing and applying to graduate and professional schools:

  • Educational Testing Service @ ETS
    Provides information about many tests including: SAT, AP, CLEP, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, PRAXIS, SLS, and the Higher Education Assessment.  Also explains computer based testing and has practice questions.
  • Gradschools.com @ Gradschools.com 
    A nationwide listing of graduate schools containing a listing of 51,041 programs.  Also includes financial aid information, bulletin boards, and a test center.
  • Graduateguide.com @ Graduateguide.com 
    A search engine with a large database of graduate school information.  It enables the user to search by school name or by major and location.  It also includes a list of questions to ask when considering grad schools.
  • GRE.org @ Gre.org
    A site containing information, software and sample test questions for the graduate examinations.  The site also includes discussion forums and online graduate school applications.
  • U.S. News Online @ U.S.News
    This site ranks the best graduate schools in America for each area of study.  It also includes financial aid, and admissions information.

Financial aid:

  • Grants in Graduate Study @ NYU
    GIGS is a database of grants for graduate and post-graduate students, provided by U.S. government, international, corporate and private funding agencies.
