Internship Programs

WHAT

Through the Division of Experience-Based Learning and Career Education, students have access to a variety of professional development courses and services to prepare for and secure academic internships in their field.  Students can also earn credit for their internships through our office. The Academic Internship Program is open to students in any major that does not include mandatory co-op requirements and the courses available provide students with professional development content and experiential learning reflection and support. The Pre-Health Internship Program is open to any student interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and the courses available provide students with professional development content and experiential learning reflection and support specific to the healthcare field including preparation of applications to professional schools.

WHY

The University of Cincinnati is committed to preparing students for life after graduation through meaningful experience-based learning and career education. Our internship pathways provide students with rich professional development content and connect students with relevant experiences that enhance their undergraduate education and prepare them for their next steps after graduation, whether that involves a full-time job or graduate/professional school.

WHO

Any student who is not in a degree program that includes a mandatory co-op component can participate. We have existing partnerships with many departments on campus, so we encourage students to speak to their academic advisors to find out if they are eligible to earn major or elective credit through our programs.
