MP3 Player

With the MP3 Player component, authors can allow a user to play an audio file embedded on the page using a simple player with quick load times and styled to match UC websites.

Getting Started

First, you'll need to upload your MP3 file(s) to DAM. If you're not familiar with this process, visit the Uploading Assets page first. These files should ideally be placed in the 'media' folder underneath your site's DAM folder. Once you've done this, open up the page you'd like to add the MP3 to in Author Mode.

The MP3 Player component can be found in the Multimedia section of the sidekick. Click and drag it onto your page, and then refresh. At this point you should see the player on the page; either double-click or right-click to open up the Edit Dialog.

Edit Dialog

  • Autoplay: When this box is checked, the MP3 will begin to play as soon as the user hits this page.
  • MP3 File Location: Navigate to your DAM folder and choose the MP3 you'd like to use.
  • Title of the MP3: This will allow you to customize the Title that displays on the player.

After you've completed this, click 'OK' and refresh your page. You should now have a simple, easy-to-use MP3 Player embedded on your page that looks something like this:
