Ecological counseling is a practice being developed at the University of Cincinnati Counseling Program . Our doctoral program is premised on this approach and our Master's programs in School and Mental Health Counseling are being infused with aspects of ecological counseling.

As the Center has evolved, we are developing a focus:

Our “ Healthy Schools and Families” grant in the Cincinnati Public Schools District middle schools of Oyler, Central Fairmount , and Whittier exemplifies this focus, as does our collaborative conference in which Dr. Laurie Smith from Teachers College-Columbia University, provided a major address in May, 2006 on working with people who are poor.
