Funding
and Financial Aid
The
Geology Department and the University of Cincinnati provide financial
support on an academic-year basis for many graduate students in the form
of assistantships, tuition scholarships, endowed fellowships, and outside
grants and contracts. Financial support is limited to a maximum of two
years for MS students and four years (beyond the MS) for PhD students;
support beyond the first year is contingent upon evidence of satisfactory
progress toward completion of degree requirements. All students receiving
financial aid must be full-time, i.e., registered for a minimum of 12
graduate credits each quarter during the academic year.
