Applications from students who are transferring to UC are accepted in the fall, spring and summer semesters for the following fall semester.

Students must have a cumulative college GPA of 3.4 or above and have earned at least 24 hours of college credit in order to be considered for admission to the University Honors Program.

Admission is very competitive. Meeting the above listed minimum requirements is not a guarantee of admission to the University Honors Program.

The application process has four steps:

1. Complete the online application for transfer students. In the online application, applicants are required to submit an essay in response to the following prompt:
   "Leadership, community engagement, global studies, and research and the creative arts are the four ideals that UC's University Honors Program emphasizes. Reflecting on your college career so far, identify and describe the most significant curricular and/or co-curricular experience(s) that you have had within one or more of these ideals. Second, in what ways might you contribute to these ideals as a University Honors student at UC?
    
2. Submit a transcript of your work from your current college or university and any previous colleges or universities. Transcripts should be mailed to the University Honors Program at the address below. 
    
3. Submit a resume with a listing of your co-curricular activities to honors@uc.edu. 
    
4. A letter of recommendation is required. It preferred that it come from a faculty member who has had you in class. The letter should be submitted to Rich Robles via mail, email or fax (please see our address and fax number below). It can be submitted directly to us by the faculty member.

If you are admitted to the University Honors Program, you will meet with the honors academic advisor to learn about program expectations and opportunities.
