This interactive session will be focused on identifying how we use social media and our digitall options, whether it's an issue we wish to address, and if so, how to break up with our screens.  Work through practical options to find yourself more engaged with others and enjoying life more. Digital Detox Flyer

We will define metabolism is, how our daily food and movement choices can impact our health, and how dinosaurs can up the “NEAT” or non-exercise activity thermogenesis in our routines. The interactive part of our session will help you identify what foods and drinks you consume can have a higher nutritional value, and ways to gradually increase the “NEAT” in your day.

Quitting and reducing tobacco use is hard.  Don't go it alone!  Learn how to navigate tools and resources that meet your needs while being in a supportive group setting to help you plan a successful quit plan! Attend both sessions to increase your chance to succeed.

Join in on the fun to continue raising awareness about UC being tobacco free and overcoming the challenges tobacco can cause as a UC community.  Tobacco Free UC will be celebrating Kick Butts Day on March 21, and joining the Bearcats Block Party on April 6 and Spring Fling on April 11. New classes for the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program will start throughout 2018.  The next DPP starts on June 6 and last day to enroll in this offering is May 30.  Visit the Diabetes Resources and Services page to learn about eligibility, sessions dates, other incentives, and more!
