LGBTQ Center Resources Expand

In-Class Presentations: We offer in-class educational workshops. Some topics could include: transgender issues, the history of the LGBTQ movement, the importance of language and linguistics, the coming-out process, and more.

Queer Student Panels: Queer student panels are composed of a group of LGBTQ-identified students who talk about their experiences. Panels are available for classrooms, departments, and organizations.

Queer Spirituality: This is an all-inclusive look at religion and spirituality and how it is connected to sexual orientation and gender identification. There will be food served and an opportunity to build community. All are welcome! Queer Spirituality meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. in the LGBTQ Center (565 Steger Student Life Center).

Trans* Support Group (Counseling and Psychological Services): The trans* support groups is facilitated by a member of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). The CAPS Trans* Support Group is free for trans* identified University of Cincinnati students.

GenderBloc also facilitates a trans* only meeting every second Thursday of the month.

LGBTQ Student Groups Expand

Colors of Pride: Colors of Pride is the University of Cincinnati's student organization for LGBTQIA+ people of color and their allies who are interested in discussing the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality. Meetings will be held bi-weekly on Tuesday from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. in 565 Steger.

GenderBloc: GenderBloc is a radical, queer activist, support and social student group at the University of Cincinnati for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied students. They focus on gender issues including transgender and genderqueer activism.  

GenderBloc meets every Thursday with a trans* only meeting reserved for the second Thursday of every month. Meetings are held at 5 p.m., in 565 Steger. For more information please check out GenderBloc on Facebook

UC Alliance: UC Alliance aims to develop interpersonal relationships in a social and educational atmosphere through activities and events for the LGBTQ community and its allies. Meeting are held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in 3240 Campus Recreation Center.
