College of Law to Host 170th Annual Hooding Ceremony
The UC College of Law will bid farewell to the Class of 2003, when the college holds its 170th annual Hooding Ceremony on Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. in the Shoemaker Center. Approximately 135 students are expected to participate.
The ceremony will be presided over by UC College of Law Dean Joseph Tomain. Motivational expert Shad Helmstetter, PhD, is the speaker at this years ceremony. Kathryn Hollister, a member of the class of 1984, will receive the Nicholas Longworth Award, presented by the graduating class to an alumnus they admire.
College of Law professors Sara Stadler Nelson, Suja Thomas and Ingrid Brunk Wuerth have been selected by the graduates to award the hoods. Professors Kristin Brandser, Paul Caron and Suja Thomas will also be recognized as this year's winners of the Goldman Prize for excellence in teaching.
For the second straight year, the ceremony will be available for live viewing on the web. The webcast can be linked to at www.law.uc.edu/current/hooding03/index.html.
