In the six months, the cleaning crew has worked together, Teachers and Dyer have been transformed, according a joint statement written by the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services and two departments in the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences (Department of Psychology and Department of Communication). Where once the buildings had problems, there are now shiny floors, clean stairwells and polished classrooms.

“Mr. Toran functions as a collaborative leader with exceptional performance and commitment to the highest goals and positive outcomes,” the nominating committee wrote. “The team of workers Mr. Toran has assembled to work in Teachers/Dyer demonstrates the highest degree of productivity and the determination to make a difference every day.” Nuha Nasrallah in the Department of Communication sums up: “We need to keep these people. They want to work with you.”
