![]() The University of Cincinnati is a comprehensive state university with 35,000 students located in scenic and historic Cincinnati. The University traces it’s origins to 1819 and among many remarkable innovations to emanate from UC was the introduction of the first program of cooperative education in 1906. Initiated by Dean Herman Schneider in UC’s College of Engineering, cooperative education was a new teaching methodology which changed twentieth century education. The faculty members in the Division of Professional Practice are recognized leaders in the field of cooperative education. They are dedicated to the advancement of the field but maintain a high tech and high touch attitude towards our students and employers. Our focus is on learning and we have created an advanced, online assessment program to evaluate student learning. Yet we still maintain the highest level of contact with our students and our employers. With an average student load of approximately 200 students and an administrative structure that enables us to work with those students throughout their college careers, we still offer the personal touch to both our students and their employers. At the University of Cincinnati we’re celebrating a century of excellence. The longevity and quality of our program is second to none.
