Science and technology will define the future, and the University of Cincinnati will be at the forefront. It has the potential to be an international leader in several areas of strength including: chemical and bio sensors, used to detect bio-threat agents, nuclear waste, heavy metal contamination, and water-borne pathogens; computational science, which allows for the development of global information systems technology, climate modeling, paleontology research and much more; nanotechnology, the revolutionary field in which materials are created at the atomic or molecular levels and combined to generate structures for everything from aerospace to medicine; environmental sciences, environmental engineering, and environmental health; and space exploration and aerospace research.

The Proudly Cincinnati campaign will commit resources to advancing these and other programs that will in turn advance the nation’s global position.
