The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost is committed to providing both financial and personnel resources to assist spouses and partners of newly-hired tenured and tenure-eligible faculty successfully transition to the Cincinnati community. In consultation with the Associate Provost for Special Initiatives and Human Resource specialists, service providers will identify on and off campus employment opportunities with local universities, corporations, employment agencies, and/or other employment networks. This includes both faculty and staff appointments. The Dual Career Assistance Program offers:
- Assistance in exploring existing employment opportunities on campus through individual consultation with Associate Provost for Special Initiatives, Human Resources and other UC affiliates.
- Assistance in exploring faculty employment opportunities on campus that requires partial funding from the Senior Vice President and Provost.
- Assistance in exploring employment off campus in surrounding communities, local universities, corporations, employment agencies, and/or other employment networks.
Newly-hired faculty seeking employment opportunities for a spouse/partner are encouraged to discuss the Career Assistance program with the hiring unit early in the process. For confidential questions, contact the Associate Provost for Special Initiatives, or a UC Human Resource representative.
