Fall 2008 Arrival Information

  Residence halls open as follows: 

•  Dabney, Turner, Schneider, and Siddall open Thursday, September 18 at 10 a.m. 
  
• Calhoun, Daniels and Campus Rec Halls open on Friday, September 19 at 10 a.m.

Residents, especially first-year students, are strongly encouraged to arrive on one of the above days as appropriate. 

Residents of Dabney, Schneider, Turner, and Siddall Halls may choose to arrive on Friday if necessary, but less help will be concentrated in those buildings on Friday.  Calhoun, Daniels, and Campus Rec Center Hall residents should not arrive on Thursday.  Once a residence hall is open, it remains open around the clock until December 13, 2008.  Check-in is available at any time, but is recommended to be completed each night by 8 p.m.  The largest amount of physical assistance with the move-in will be available during daylight hours.  During hall opening, a limited number of rolling carts and volunteer helpers will be available to make move-in as easy as possible.  Residents should have their University ID available if at all possible.

Residents who want to request permission for early arrival should submit the early arrival request to Housing & Food Services.  Early arrival requests should be submitted only for special circumstances such as testing, University employment, or other official University business.
