Getting Involved in RAPP

The RAPP nine-month experiential learning program is a forum for students to challenge, debate, and educate each other on issues of social justice. We explore race, culture, gender, socioeconomic class, sexuality, and other areas of difference.
RAPP members explore a variety of theories related to social justice, participate in self-awareness activities, and develop skills in cross-cultural communication and leadership.
RAPP requires a nine-month commitment from participants. This includes:
- Attendance at four meetings and one overnight retreat each quarter
- Completion of brief activities between meetings (e.g. brief journal entry, read an article)
Consistent attendance and completion of activities is crucial to the success of both the individuals participating in RAPP and the group as a whole as one of the most important parts of the experience is the bond developed within the group.
If you are interested in joining RAPP XXV - the group for the 2009-2010 school year - check out the meeting and retreat schedule and read the RAPP XXV FAQ. The FAQ describes the RAPP philosophy, commitment, and application process in detail.
