Dr. Livingston was appointed Vice President for Student Affairs and Services at the University of Cincinnati in 1994. In 2007 he assumed the additional responsibility of Chief Diversity Officer.  He received his doctorate from Michigan State University and Masters and Bachelors degrees from Southern Illinois University. He is also a Professor in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services with research interests in multi-culturalism and democracy, community building and organizational development.

Dr. Livingston serves on many community boards, including Bridges for a Just Community, Fifth Third Bank,National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Arts Wave, Public Media Connect and the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education.
