Anonymous Letter
November 5, 2022
Dear UC Family,
We are aware of the anonymous letter from out of state that was sent to one of our faculty members. Please know this matter is being addressed by the appropriate offices, and several colleagues and I have been in contact with both the faculty member and the graduate student to provide reassurance and offer support.
A repulsive action like this impacts our university community — causing distress and alarm — and interferes with our work which is to foster an inclusive environment that affirms the humanity of all. Despite this act, community members are showing a level of care and concern that is indicative of us living our values.
We are truly grateful to colleagues and students across campus who are engaging in conversations and offering support to each other during this time. If you are aware of any additional incidents, please let us know by contacting oeohelp@ucmail.uc.edu.
Warm regards,
Bleuzette Marshall, PhD
VP for Equity, Inclusion & Community Impact
