Sergeant First Class Joshua Isbell
Military Science Instructor

Sergeant First Class Joshua T. Isbell, is a native of Sylacauga, AL and entered the Army in January 2005 as an Infantryman, where he attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA. Over his career, Sergeant First Class Isbell progressively served in leadership positions in his career management field. These leadership positions include Gunner; Team Leader; Squad Leader; Weapons Squad Leader; Recruiter; Platoon Sergeant; and Operations Sergeant.

His military education includes: the Basic Leader Course; Advanced Leader Course; Senior Leader Course; Master Leader Course; Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC); Recruiter School; The Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officers Course; Technical Transportation of Hazardous material Course; Army Combatives Course (level 1 & 2), Pathfinder School, and Air Assault School. He has obtained an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies and is working toward his Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts (Administrative Management Studies).

Sergeant First Class Isbell’s previous assignments include: 2nd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, Fort Campbell, Ky; 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, Fort Campbell, Ky; Pensacola South Recruiting Station, Pensacola, FL; 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, Fort Bliss, TX; and the United States Army Cadet Command Headquarters. He has two deployments, one to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom Four and one to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 10-11.

Sergeant First Class Isbell’s awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal; The Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal (4th); Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award); National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (4th Award); Overseas Service Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Iraq Campaign Medal (2 campaign stars); Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 Campaign Star); Valorous Unit Award; Army Superior Unit Award; NATO Medal; Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Recruiter Badge, and Combat Infantry Badge. Sergeant First Class Isbell is married to Angel Isbell.
