Dr. Watson earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee and a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He also completed a distance Clinician Health and Well-being Fellowship training program through the University of California-Davis. Dr. Watson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Nationally Board Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE). Dr. Watson has previous clinical training at an academic health institution and professional experience serving residents, fellows, medical, doctoral and health science graduate students. Dr. Watson is the embedded counselor for the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (UCCOM).

Why did I become a counselor: I believe supporting medical and graduate students will lead to creating healthier communities!

What I do to take care of myself after a challenging day/time/situation: I enjoy sitting down and sharing a meal with friends, family, colleagues, and laughing about the day.
