IBM Skills Academy
The University of Cincinnati has partnered with IBM to offer practitioner-level industry recognized credentials in a variety of technology fields. Students do not need to have a technology or computing background to participate in these workshops.
iQ4 Virtual Apprenticeship
The Virtual Apprenticeship is open to and free for all University of Cincinnati students, especially UC co-op students desiring to complete the apprenticeship for their EEP experience. The program does not require prior knowledge of information technology. Students who complete the program will receive an Industry Recognized Credential endorsed by the U.S. Department of Labor.
The apprenticeship is self-directed with instructors and mentors through online learning and is flexible to accommodate student schedules. Weekly virtual meetings will occur with other students, mentors and instructors.
Adobe Creative Certifications
UC offers online courses for students to become certified in the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Animate.
This experience is open to all UC students and requires some basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; students with little to no experience in Adobe should try LinkedIn Learning first.
Classes meet online and biweekly, with instructor-led tutorials and demonstrations, complemented with weekly interactive critiques of projects that demonstrate application of knowledge.
