Camp Bearcats is a Leadership Institute for incoming first-year students. Camp Bearcats 2023 kicks off August 13-15, 2023!  Registration is $25.00 and is non-refundable. Secure your spot by July 7th!

Camp Bearcats participants will become immersed in the Leadership Community at UC and be prepared for their Bearcat Experience. The retreat is facilitated by UC staff and student Peer Leaders during a three-day retreat. Camp Bearcats will take place at an off-site leadership retreat center.

By participating in the Camp Bearcats First-Year Student Leadership Institute, participants will:

• Identify ways they contribute to developing an inclusive community 
• Identify strengths and values as a leader and identify those in others 
• Develop a sense of belonging and connection to the campus community 
• Demonstrate evidence of adjustment of own thoughts and perceptions and can identify unjust behavior of others 
• Demonstrate critical thinking through goal setting
