Dr. Guardia joined the University of Cincinnati in 2016. He has been in the field of higher education/student affairs for 19 years in various administrative roles, including Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago and the Director of the Center for Multicultural Affairs at Florida State University. Juan has also served as Adjunct Faculty in the Higher Education graduate programs at Loyola University Chicago and Florida State University. He is an active member of NASPA, ACPA, AFA and served as past national Chair of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO). Currently, he serves on the Board of Trustees for his fraternity, Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. A native of Miami, Florida, Juan enjoys running and spending time with family and friends.

Daniel S. Cummins, M.S.

Daniel Cummins has over 30 years of professional and higher education experience, including positions in residence life, housing, judicial affairs, and student affairs. He has served in leadership roles with various professional organizations, including the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Executive Council and the Association for Student Judicial Affairs (ASJA) Executive Board. Daniel was recently appointed to the Advisory Council to the Hamilton County Strategic Prevention Framework/State Incentive Grant (SPF/SIG), which strives to reduce alcohol and drug abuse through educational efforts and strategic marketing.
