Instructor: Dr. Eliane Bettochi & Dr. Evan Torner

Offered: Spring 2023

This Honors seminar introduces the basics of both decolonial critique and game design, applying theories learned in a final game project. The course fosters a genuine dialogue between game creators in the Global North and Global South, contextualizing their games within the logics of cultural production and resistance. Virtual engagment with students and community members in Brazil will enrich students' understanding of what it means to "decolonize" something before trying to do so in their own game designs.
