Chloe Kilguss

I love the opportunities available through the UHP program and how it encourages you to pursue as many as you can. The support from the members of this office have also blown me away, both in pursuing various positions and also helping me find something that would be a great match.

My favorite honors experience so far has been my trip to the Netherlands over the summer. UHP granted part of the travel and I created a self-design proposal based around a summer course I was enrolled in at The Hague. It was amazing to travel to Europe for the first time and see such a beautiful country as the Netherlands. Through the experience, I learned so much about Dutch culture and also about international humanitarian law through the course.

My best UC moment so far is probably being able to exceed my expectations for my sophomore year when everything was online. I ended both semesters on the Dean's List and had virtually familiarized myself with multiple clubs and organizations. I also grew as a person, learning to adapt to life where my computer was my classroom.

I am looking to successfully get through this semester and do a study tour in the spring!
