Graduate Writing Handouts

Graduate students have unique writing experiences like literature reviews, conference papers, comprehensive exams, and master theses/dissertations. The AWC is building a library of resources to help you write these challenging assignments.

Download any or all of these handouts. If you have any questions about any of the concepts covered here, schedule an appointment with a graduate writing tutor.

AWC Graduate Student Writing Workshops

The Academic Writing Center offers free workshops to graduate students on important writing concepts. Please sign up for any workshop that you are interested in below. If you have questions, please email Katie Monthie, the Learning Commons Graduate Assistant for the AWC.

Once the University returns to in-person operations, all workshops will be held in-person. For remote workshops, you can join via the button below or from the email sent to you after registering. After the workshop, the slide deck will be made available for students.
