Campus Recreation provides a wide variety of healthy fitness activities to fulfill your recreational and leisure time. In addition to enhancing your overall physical health, Campus Rec activities are designed to connect the community, provide positive, social interaction, physical and mental development as well as cultural awareness. Whether individual or group activities, Campus Rec has an activity for all ages.
Due to COVID-19 the availability of many activites and services is limited. Please review the information below for availability.
Campus Recreation’s intramural sports promote fitness-oriented, social activities through individual and team sports.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no in person intramural sports events in Fall 2020. Once the status for Spring 2020 intramural sports is determined, we will update the website.

The Campus Recreation Center Aquatic Complex includes three separate bodies of water: Keating Aquatics Center, Leisure Pool, and Whirlpool. The lap pool is 50 meters by 22.88 meters (25 yards), has two 1 meter diving boards, and a 3 meter diving board. Depth varies from 4 feet to 13 feet. The lap pool is used for open recreation swimming, athletic practices, swimming lessons, and a variety of other aquatic programs.
Swim lessons are meant to be both a positive and enjoyable learning experience for the participant. It is our goal to provide the best learning environment possible to assist in achieving these goals. All swim lessons are taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.
Please note due to COVID-19, the leisure pool and whirpool are closed until further notice. Participants wanting to utilize the lap pool must make a reservation in advance.

Due to COVID-19, racquetball courts are unavailble for racquet sports or wallyball until further notice.
The first 4 courts have been renovated into additional fitness space. The remaining courts will be open for individual fitness activities but not available for racquet sports or walleyball.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber, Campus Recreation’s indoor climbing wall is designed for all levels. Please note due to COVID-19, the Climbing Wall is currently closed until further notice.
Campus Recreation understands that youth activities should not only encourage your child in physical activity, but also assist in mental and social development.
REC Kids Camps
Open to rising 1st – 8th graders. Our camps strive to keep youth recreational activities fun. Arts, crafts, sports, and other activities are coordinated with weekly themes. Due to COVID-19, the following events may be unavailable. Find more information on the REC Kids page.

Parties for children and adults. Due to COVID-19, birthday party rentals are currently unavailable until further notice. Find more information under Rentals.
Fro six months to adult lessons, participants learn proper swimming techniques. Due to COVID-19, swim lessons are unavailable until further notice. Find more information on Aquatics.
Due to COVID-19, team building offerings are unavailable until further notice.
The Campus Recreation Team Building program is offered in a two-hour time frame and can be combined with other activities including meeting space, open recreation or climbing. The team building program focuses on bringing members of your team closer through various exercises using both the body and mind. The program is open to any group inside or outside the University of Cincinnati community.
