Ballet

     This class focuses on classical techniques while incorporating choreography and across-the-floor work. It will expand your foundational knowledge while increasing your balance and grace. All levels welcome. Class offered 1x/week for 12-weeks. Class is hosted in Multipurpose Room A.

Boxing

 This class will walk you through the fundamentals of boxing where you'll learn proper form for the jab, hook, cross and upper-cut along with proper footwork.  Your strength and endurance will also be taught and tested in this class. Class offered 1x/week for 12-weeks. Class is hosted in the Fitness Studio (Racquetball Court 7).

Intro to Resistance Training

     This 4-week program that will teach participants about the basic fundamentals of exercise, gym etiquette, how to create effective exercise programs and perform 2 key weight lifting movements (Squat and Deadlift); as well as introduce them to the free weight area of the CRC. All levels welcome. Limit 10 participants. Class offered 1x/week for 4-weeks. Class is hosted in the Personal Training Suite. Please meet the trainer at the couches outside of Member Services.

Karate

     Find experienced instruction, energetic atmosphere, progressive & individualized lessons in traditional dojo housed here at UC. Chito-ryu karate is a dynamic discipline of Japanese, Okinawan & Chinese origins, suitable for everyone. Designed to optimize health, spirit, strength, core, cardio & balance.

Classes are 90 minutes and offered up to 3x/week for 15 weeks. Class is hosted in Multipurpose Room A.

Kickboxing

     This class is an essential for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of kicking and punching! We will focus on building a solid technical striking base, while at the same time offering a high energy full body workout. Whether you are new to martial arts entirely or have been fighting for years, this class is sure to be a hit! Class offered 1x/week for 12-weeks. Class is hosted in the Fitness Studio (Racquetball Court 7).

Self Defense

     Cincinnati is YOUR campus and YOUR city! In this class you will learn the basics of personal safety and self-defense to feel empowered wherever you go. You will learn how to walk assertively and assess your surroundings, as well as avoidance, grappling and striking techniques. Meets 1x/week for 12 weeks. Class is hosted in the Fitness Studio (Racquetball Court 7).
