Summer Intern/Co-op Housing

Summer housing is available for college students who have an internship or co-op in the Greater Cincinnati area. The University of Cincinnati offers interns a convenient and affordable summer lifestyle, all in a vibrant urban setting. Your summer will be worry-free at UC.

Intern/co-op housing is available Sunday, May 5 - Saturday, August 3, 2024 in University Park Apartments.

Housing reservations must be made 15 business days prior to arrival date.

We have very limited SINGLE apartments, so register early.


Conveniently Located Upscale Accommodations

University Park Apartments offer single or multi-person fully-furnished apartments with:

  • Full kitchen and bath
  • On-site coin laundry

  • 24-hour front-desk service with residence life staff

Housing Options & Pricing

  • A 4-week minimum stay is required.
  • Shared Apartment - $36 per night (2 bedrooms with 2 beds to a bedroom, totaling 4 people)  You will be assigned roommates if you do not request any.
  • Single Apartment - $50 per night
  • A non-refundable $150 processing fee is required at the time of registration.
  • UC Conference & Event Services prefers your housing is paid in full at the time of booking, but we realize this may not be an option for everyone. 
    We ask that you pay 50% of your total balance at the time of booking. The final balance will be due by June 14, 2024.

Optional Add-Ons

The following optional Add-Ons are available to make your stay more comfortable:

  •  Parking Pass: Parking passes are available at Calhoun Garage for $35 per week with unlimited in and out privileges. Calhoun Garage is directly below UPA.
  • Campus Dining Center Pass: (rates are not confirmed for 2024)
    • 36 Meals - $365
    • 48 Meals - $486
    • 65 Meals -  $658
    • 100 Meals - $1,014
  • Rec Center Pass: For $15/week you gain access to our 212,000 square feet recreation facility.

Easy Access to Work, Food, Entertainment, and More

UC sits at the center of Uptown, where you'll find over 100 merchants - groceries, hair salons, a movie theater, and package pickup, not to mention every type of food you could want, all within a 5-minute walk or bike ride from campus. Downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky offer hundreds of dining, shopping and entertainment options, via a short ride share of no more than 10 minutes, depending on the destination.

The University of Cincinnati no longer requires, but strongly recommends faculty, staff, students and guests receive COVID-19 vaccines.

FAQ's

Your apartment includes a bedroom(s), a full bathroom, a common area and a full kitchen. Each bedroom has XL twin beds, dressers, desks and desk chairs. (You can rent linens during the online registration process or you can bring your own). The common area includes a couch, chair and coffee table. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, countertop microwave and cooktop/oven combination: NOTE: COOKWARE NOR UTENSILS ARE PROVIDED. Please be prepared to bring your own if needed.. 

Personal Items: Toiletries, including soap, shampoo, hand soap, shaving supplies, hand sanitizer, etc.

Kitchenware: Pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, etc.

Miscellaneous: A small reading lamp for your desk, fan, clothes hangers, iron, clothes basket or laundry bag, television and laptop.

Linens: A blanket, XL TWIN bed sheets, towel, wash cloth, pillow (IF a linen package was NOT pre-ordered)

  • Hotplates, popcorn poppers, toaster ovens, grills (e.g. George Foreman or similar), fryers or any appliance with exposed heating elements.
  • Candles, kerosene lanterns or heaters
  • Pets
  • Powerful sound systems or stereos (A personal system with headphones is fine.)
  • Waterbeds or mattresses (We provide mattresses and box springs and they cannot be removed.)
  • Halogen lamps

If you know another person registering for UC housing, you can request them as a roommate during the registration process. Otherwise, you will be paired with the same gender, around the same age, and possibly with the same internship program/company as yourself. 

  • The University of Cincinnati Police Department (UCPD) can be reached at 513-556-1111 in case of an emergency needing response from police, fire or medical personnel. Call this number instead of 911 on your cell phone on campus to avoid being sent to another jurisdiction.
  • In case of a fire or other emergency requiring evacuation, leave the building in a calm, orderly fashion. In case a weather emergency is spotted in the area, proceed to a safe location in your hall located at marked areas and stairwells and hallways with no windows.
  • Notify the front desk staff, as soon as possible if an issue arises that impacts your stay with us. You may be asked to submit an incident report.
  • Campus visitors are strongly encouraged to travel in groups, particularly during the evening hours. Pay attention to your surroundings at all times.
  • Guests are encouraged to keep their doors locked at all times, even when going down the hall to use the restroom.
  • Always lock your bike and attach it to a bike rack. U-locks are recommended over cable locks. Lock bikes through the tire as tightly as possible.
  • Blue Lights are avaliable throughout campus should a dangerous situation occur; for use follow the insturctions on Blue Light Help Post. If a situation were to unravel please move to a safe area and/or call the emergency numbers above.
