Executive Board

Leading the GSG are the four members of the executive board, who develop initiatives, work with university leadership on a variety of issues and represent graduate student interests at UC. These are their positions, emails, and office hours.

President 

Sid

Siddharth (Sid) Sridhar

Sid is a native of Chennai, India. He serves as the President of the Graduate Student Government. His primary responsibility is to advocate for graduate students with the senior administration that enhances grad life at UC. He also serves as the voice of the graduate students on various university wide committees. Sid is pursuing his PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the Cooperative Distributed Systems Laboratory, UC. He holds a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from UC and a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics from SRM University, India. His current research is focused on Fault Tolerant Control of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). His other research interests include next-gen transportation, multi-body dynamics, spacesuits and space systems. During his leisure, Sid enjoys writing one-liners and hanging out with his friends. In addition, Sid loves to drive and is an avid traveler. He plans on driving across the Martian craters sipping elixir and listening to pop classics in the not-so-distant future.

Mohan Pillai

Mohan is a third year PhD student of philosophy. He hails from Kochi, India. Before starting his graduate work in Cincinnati, he did his BA (Hons) in English from Christ University, Bangalore, India, an MA and M.Phil in Philosophy from University of Hyderabad, India, and worked in between as a journalist and a social worker. His interests in philosophy include philosophy of mind, animal cognition, philosophy of science, and public philosophy. Mohan currently serves as the vice-president of the Graduate Student Government. As vice-president, he works to make for a better graduate student experience at UC through social initiatives and advocacy. He serves on various committees being the voice of graduate students, oversees the GSG group grant awards and excellence awards, and helps organise the GSG events. He is passionate about social movements advocating gender, social, and environmental justice. When he is not on campus, he can probably be found in one of Cincinnati's many parks - birdwatching or hiking.

Abigail Richard

Abigail Richard

Abigail Richard is a mathematical sciences PhD candidate doing research in geometric analysis. Before coming to UC, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Indianapolis in the state of her birth. She serves as the Treasurer for the Graduate Student Government where her primary responsibility is to manage the GSG budget and to represent GSG at the Student Advisory Council for University Budget (SACUB). She also is in-charge of processing the GSG Awards and allocating funds to various Graduate Student Associations (GSAs). She is also very passionate about teaching undergraduate students, and loves to engage others in the learning process. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys playing the violin and volunteering her time in spiritual programs.

Campus Ambassador
 

Vamshi Krishna Kore

Vamshi Krishna Kore

Vamshi Krishna Kore is a native of the city of Hyderabad from India. He is an International student at the University of Cincinnati currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his Bachelor of Technology from JNTU, Hyderabad (India). Vamshi serves as the Campus Ambassador for the Graduate Student Government where his primary responsibilities include acting as a liaison between the campus and the GSG officers, coordinating and executing social, educational and diversity initiatives for GSG. In addition, he also manages the website and Social Media Handles for GSG and develops strategies to create greater visibility. Vamshi is engaging and enthusiastic about meeting new people. Outside of academics, Vamshi is a passionate cricketer and is the President of the UC Cricket Club. He also enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and exploring unknown places.
