Every Wednesday will offer various highlights of programming and resources for students, faculty and staff to engage in their well-being. Collaborations will be with UC offices, organizations and community partners. All UC bearcats are welcome to participate!

Campus Recreation's Online Fitness Programs

Mix in movement with various on-demand Online Fitness Programs from your Cmpus Rec Personal Triners and Group Fitness Instructors when it works best for you! All Bearcats can access these videos. 

"Fine Arts at Four Call" with the Faculty Enrichment Center

The Faculty Enrichment Center (FEC) is calling for faculty members to share their talents related to art, performing, music, and more. Two faculty members will be featured during each season this fall. Learn more about "Fine Arts at Four". Submissions are due to the FEC by July 15 at EnrichFaculty@ucmail.uc.edu

Virtual OMBUDS Workshop 

While much of the university's work has moved to remote platforms, that means that managing and engaging conflicts have too. Learn how to stay constructively engaged in difficult conversations while using communication tools in a virtual work setting. This session will be online via WebEx on Wednesday, July 8 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. , facilitated by the OMBUDS office and hosted by the Faculty Enrichment Center. Tune in to view one of the many on-demand webinar videos from Impact Solutions, UC’s employee assistance plan (EAP) provider! Hosted by Be Well UC, UC’s employee wellness program, online via WebEx on Thursday, July 9 from 3:30-4 p.m. All are welcome!

Building Community and Coping during COVID and Social Turbulence 

Tune in for a semi-guided discussion focused on ways to connect and cope during this pandemic. This is a collaboration with Healthy UC’s Well-being Wednesdays, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and the Faculty Enrichment Center. This session will be hosted online via WebEx on Wednesday, July 15 from 11-11:45 a.m.

Connect and Reflect: How to Build Confidence and Spark It in Others 

Connect and Reflect sessions aim to encourage a community of connection with other Bearcats. Join virtually via WebEx to develop personally and professionally as you learn, share and connect with others over relevant and thought-provoking content.

On Wednesday, July 22 from 12:15-1 p.m., the WebEx session will focus on a brief Ted Talk with accompanying discussion prompts. Hosted by Be Well UC, the employee wellness program. All are welcome! Telehealth Resources

Did you know there are on-demand services to support students, faculty and staff to be their best selves? There are several telehealth services available to the UC community for whenever it works best for them from wherever they may be!

  • Employee Assistance Plan - Impact Solutions is the employee assistance plan provider. Services available include online and telephonic counseling, the TESS Emotional Wellness Coach/Chatbot, 1:1 Mindfulness Coaching, the Stress Less Center with guided meditation and breathing exercises, webinars, articles, recipes, and more.
  • Anthem LiveHealth Online - Telehealth video chat with health care providers for employees enrolled in the health insurance plans. For 90 days (beginning March 17, 2020), UC’s medical plan will waive any member cost share for individuals who utilize this service.
  • Health Coaching - One on one calls to support your wellness goals and journey. Calls are open to all UC faculty and staff, free, confidential, and personalized.

Ergonomic Tips

During times of remote work and study, using ergonomics can help students and employees improve their focus, productivity and movements. UNUM shares several Quick Tips for Home Office Ergonomics and Physical Wellness. UNUM is UC’s long-term disability and group accident and critical illness provider.

  • Connect and Reflect - These are casual sessions and get-togethers, where a provided educational resource is discussed, leading to some beneficial takeaways. It is a partnership between the Staff Success Center (SSC) and Be Well UC.

  • Going the Social Distance Steps Challenge - UC Blue Ash and UC Clermont Colleges are hosting a steps challenge throughout the month of May 2020 to help continue to raise funds for the Clermont Bearcat Food Pantry and Saul’s Stay in School Fund.
  • Mindful Movement - Virtual meditation break with Wellness Ambassador and certified yoga trainer, Kimber Andrews. All are welcome to join every Monday from 3-3:30 p.m. online via Zoom.
  • Online Guided Meditation - SKY!, the student organization, is hosting daily meditation online via ZOOM from 6-6:30 p.m. All are welcome! Make sure to RSVP for the meeting information.

  • Virtual Conversations - This series, Virtual Conversations, will be held each Wednesday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Discussions will be focused on learning and sharing experiences about strategies for navigating our new work environments. The sessions will be hosted online via Teams by the Staff Success Center, and are limited to 10 participants to provide a quality experience. Those interested must pre-register to receive the meeting information.
  • Yoga As You Are - Virtual stretching and movement break with Wellness Ambassador and certified yoga trainer, Kimber Andrews. All are welcome to join every Thursday from 12:30-1 p.m. online via Zoom.
  • Yoga in Your Work Clothes - Virtual stretching and movement break Ruth Benander. All are welcome to join every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-12:30 p.m. online via WebEx.
