News Record: UC Engineers Without Borders makes impact
UC chapter of student group has worked on four international projects
University of Cincinnati's chapter of Engineers Without Borders has been making a life-changing impact in international and domestic communities since the chapter's inception in 2006. The News Record, the UC student news organization, highlighted the group in a recent article.
UC's chapter typically organizes two international trips annually. Members have built schoolhouses, developed sanitation systems, and designed and installed water systems in communities in Tanzania and Kenya. They also have worked domestically building homes with Habitat for Humanity and working in the Cincinnati area on various cleanup projects.
Any student can join, but most come from the College of Engineering and Applied Science, with many coming from environmental, mechanical and chemical engineering majors.
