Rosita Ortiz, a third-year law student, was recently appointed as Vice-Chair for the National Latina/o Law Student Association's (NLLSA) Executive Board for the 2021-2022 term.

Ortiz was selected by delegates representing 66 law schools across the country, and is the first student to represent the University of Cincinnati on NLLSA’s board since the organization was founded in 1996.

In her role, Ortiz is expected to engage with Latinx law associations in the United States and Canada, with the goal of guiding constructive change for Latinx law students.

Ortiz is also the current president of Cincinnati Law’s LLSA Chapter, a student organization committed to encouraging student-led encuentros, conferences and other community-strengthening gatherings.
