WKRC Local 12: Horror Films 101

UC gives students a history lesson filled with chainsaws and rouge clowns

Each fall semester, Bullins' horror media class is full of students with rapt attention for what goes bump in the night...in the movies.

“I get students from all majors, not just humanity majors, majors from virtually every college at UC,” said Bullins, a graduate assistant in the Department of English.

The course traces the history of American horror films, from the days of "Frankenstein" to slasher films like "Halloween" and "Friday the 13th" and everything in between.

Two stations covered Bullins' teaching methods and the evolution of horror films: Local 12 and Fox 19
