Thomas Mobley, associate professor - educator in UC’s organizational leadership/human resource management program, is cited among the experts U.S. News chose to interview for a feature on preparation for a career in a changing world.
The article points out how faculty in both traditional liberal arts disciplines and more vocationally oriented programs also focus on teaching timeless skills such as analyzing and solving problems and brainstorming new ideas, but that it’s not a hard science.
Mobley gives the example of how in the 1980s becoming a travel agent was predicted to become a secure job of the future.
Highly respected expert in the human resources field, Mobley as both a HR consultant and professor combines his corporate and teaching experience to create student workshops and presentations that are both practical and effective for UC students to enter, and oversee, the workforce.
