Civil Rights Activist To Speak at UC

WHAT: Lecture, “The War, Civil Liberties and Women’s Human Rights”
WHO: Bettina Aptheker, professor of Women’s Studies, University of California Santa Cruz, is the visiting lecturer. Aptheker, best known for her leadership in the Berkeley Free Speech Movement during the 1960s, has been a prominent activist for more than 30 years for the women’s, peace, civil rights and lesbian movements. The event is free and open to the public.
