Department Of Public Safety Offers Construction Traffic Advice
In the wake of heavy construction traffic currently accessing sites related to the Varsity Village and Calhoun Garage projects, UC's Department of Public Safety is suggesting motorists try to avoid accessing campus via Dennis Street.
"If you normally enter the West Campus via Corry Street, it is recommended that you access Corry Boulevard from Jefferson, and avoid Calhoun and Dennis Streets, if possible," says Gene Ferrara, UC's Director of Public Safety.
"Using Dennis Street will contribute to long delays and cause potential safety concerns due to conflict with construction traffic," he adds. That means motorists using Corry Boulevard as their access point for entering campus should find it to be both a quicker and safer alternative route.
