“The YWCA Salute to Career Women of Achievement was established in 1980,” explains Charlene Ventura, YWCA President & CEO, “to increase awareness and appreciation of the diverse contributions of Greater Cincinnati women in the work force and in the community.  It also serves to remind employers to examine whether women are being promoted at the level they deserve.   This 25th anniversary event is a celebration of the strides that women have made and a reminder of the obstacles they have overcome in the workplace.  This annual tribute is an opportunity for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the economic empowerment of women and the elimination of racism.”
