UC s Student Financial Aid A Favorite In National Photo Contest

UC’s Student Financial Aid Office won honorable mention in a national photo contest sponsored by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). Three top winners and three honorable mentions are highlighted on the NASFAA Web site. All six of the photos will be featured either in an upcoming NASFAA membership brochure, a future issue of Student Aid Transcript Magazine, or both publications.

NASFAA is a professional organization for financial aid administrators at educational institutions, dedicated to improving the delivery and administration of financial aid. A summer photo contest challenged member institutions to submit a photo that best depicted how financial aid employees help open the doors of educational opportunity to students. Results of the photo contest were announced last month.

The UC photo, submitted by Kyle Fitzenreiter, a financial aid advisor, and Tyree Gaines, program coordinator for the Cincinnati Pride Grant, features Gaines and graduate assistant Hari Nallepilly-Krishnamurthy with the slogan, “Student Financial Aid Office: Cutting Through Red Tape and Helping Students Graduate.”

The honorable mention means that UC will receive a NASFAA Encyclopedia of Student Financial Aid with a CD-ROM archive.
