Special Honor For Human Services Faculty Member

The Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association has selected Pat Graman, University of Cincinnati athletic trainer and assistant professor of human services, as the College/University Athletic Trainer of the Year. Graman has been practicing athletic training at the University of Cincinnati for 23 years. Currently, she holds the position of the director of the athletic training program. 

Graman has served the OATA as the southwest district representative since 2001. She has served on the College/University Committee, the Student Athletic Trainer Committee, and the Nominations Committee. Pat was also on the local planning committee when the OATA annual symposium was held in Cincinnati. Pat has been an NATABOC examiner and serves the Joint Review Committee -Athletic Training as a site visitor and the Annual Report Committee. Pat has worked numerous local and national sporting events for the past 23 years. In 2000, she was a volunteer for the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA.

The Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association (OATA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health care needs of the physically active, and is formally recognized by the American Medical Association. Founded in 1984, the primary goal of the OATA is to ensure that athletes, at any level, receive immediate, professional, quality health care.

It was the second event of its kind this academic year following a similar collaboration in fall 2023.

Information Security Roadshow spreads awareness

The University of Cincinnati's Office of Information Security launched a series of 18 in-person sessions from January to April 2024, drawing nearly 350 attendees from the staff of various UC colleges and units. The Information Security Roadshow series aimed to equip the audience with knowledge on prevailing cyber threats, prevention strategies, how to report incidents and resources to stay informed and secure.
