UC Cadets Celebrate 85th Annual Military Ball

The Army/Air Force ROTC Military Ball will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in the Great Hall of Tangeman University Center. The black-tie affair is attended by, among others, UC’s ROTC cadets, faculty and special guests.

This year, the guest speaker will be Colonel Michael W. Alexander, commander of the 16th Cavalry Regiment in Fort Knox, Ky. In July, 2003, Col. Alexander deployed to Iraq to serve as the C-5 Chief of Operational Plans. He assumed command at Ft. Knox in May, 2004.

Efforts to build more affordable housing in Cincinnati have created concerns for residents as low-income housing has been concentrated in some of the city’s poorest neighborhoods, WCPO reported. Gary Painter, PhD, the academic director of the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business real estate program and a professor of real estate, said a complaint against the city could lead to positive outcomes.
