UC Clermont Student Awarded Herb Society Scholarship

UC Clermont sophomore Kristin Varick of Batavia was awarded a $500 scholarship by The Herb Society of Greater Cincinnati for the second consecutive year.

 

Varick is earning her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education with a certificate in Horticultural Therapy. Varick actively contributes to her community as a 4-H member working with senior citizens. She created an historic herb garden at Gauche Park in Owensville and is planning an organic vegetable garden this summer with information sheets and mystery games for children’s school groups.

 

The scholarship selection is based on academic record, essay and enthusiastic recommendations from her professor as well as her employer.

Information Security Roadshow spreads awareness

The University of Cincinnati's Office of Information Security launched a series of 18 in-person sessions from January to April 2024, drawing nearly 350 attendees from the staff of various UC colleges and units. The Information Security Roadshow series aimed to equip the audience with knowledge on prevailing cyber threats, prevention strategies, how to report incidents and resources to stay informed and secure.
