Devier Honored with Lockette/Monroe Humanitarian Award

David H. Devier, Dean, University of Cincinnati Clermont College recently received the Lockette/Monroe Humanitarian Award from the International Technology Education Association at their annual conference in Baltimore.

The Lockette/Monroe Humanitarian Award is given to an individual annually who promotes humanistic values while serving as a technology education professional on the national and international, state or province and local levels to promote social awareness for technology issues, human dignity, and/or working to maximize the potential of individuals.

Devier is known for his dedication to technology education and the development of young professionals.  Throughout his 30 year career he has served as a role model and mentor to numerous individuals as they were developing in their careers.

President Pinto announces interim provost

UC President Neville Pinto announced that Dr. John Weidner, dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, will step in as interim provost following Dr. Kristi Nelson's departure on June 1.
