SATURDAY: UC Celebrates Family Day

Family day is free and open to Tristate families and holds entertainment and educational activities for the young and the old. Events will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, in Tangeman University Center (TUC) at the University of Cincinnati. Here is the schedule of events:


10 a.m.

  • Activities will include face-painting and arts and crafts activities for children and begins with refreshments, dancing entertainment and photos with the UC Bearcat in the TUC Food Court.

11 a.m.

  • MainStreet Cinema – Performance by Academy of Multilingual Immersion Studies, a Cincinnati Public elementary school.
  • TUC Food Court – Dancers


11:45 a.m.

  • TUC Food Court – Home Depot Kids Workshop
    Sponsored by Home Depot, children aged 5-12 learn do-it-yourself skills and tool safety as they construct projects under the supervision of an adult. Projects include creating toolboxes, mailboxes and birdhouses. Free and open to the public.
  • MainStreet Cinema – Movie, Mad Hot Ballroom, a documentary about a group of fifth-graders in the New York City Public School system and their journey into ballroom dancing. Free and open to the public.

1 p.m.

  • TUC Food Court – Home Depot Kids Workshop
