Solar House Raising: View the Video!

On Monday, April 16, University of Cincinnati students put the lessons and planning of the past year into action when they began construction on UC’s solar house.

The house is part of a prestigious international competition in which only 20 universities worldwide were invited to compete to build the globe’s best solar home where everything – all mechanics, appliances and even the car that accompanies the house – is  solar powered.

When the house is completed in October 2007, it will be transported to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., where it will be viewed and visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors.
